Halloween Fun!

we had a lot of fun this halloween because brielle is at an
age where she can wear cute costumes
and almost understand what's going on :)
she had two different options for her costumes this year.
a cute lady bug or a flower-fairy...
we loved them both.
so we used them both :)

our ward's trunk-or-treat activity was a lot of fun...mostly for jake and me
we got the candy :)
but everyone was just so enamored with our little bri in her cute ladybug costume.

we try taking pics of her, but she doesn't understand the concept of holding still.
must be the age.
but she's still super cute in her costume.

she absolutely LOVES pumpkins and even says "bye bye punkin" every
time we left the house.
adorable!

she was a little concerned at first because dad was hurting the "punkin"
but she was totally interested and ended up really liking
her pumpkin carving experience.
especially the candles that made it glow :)

brielle is really into pointing out facial features...so she didn't hesitate to point out
the pumpkin's face too.
"nose"
"eyees"
"bite" (means mouth in bri language:)

we took her to the harvest festival here in corona where she sported her other costume.
she was a little too young to really get involved in the activities,
but she's never too young for pics!
these two are bestest friends...especially when she's squealing running around the house,
and jake is chasing after her...
love those moments as a mom!

this was a hilarious shot of our sweet precious lil girl's attitude.
she's a pro at letting us know her feelings about any situation
the glare.

bri and i amidst the fun festive background. jake's a great photographer!

what a perfect little poser...cute!

i absolutely love this pic of brielle. she is so precious, and we love everything about her!

we had a lot of fun as a family this halloween, and can't wait to celebrate the next holiday with a little addition to our family!

So Cal Fun!

We have always loved So. Cal but being from UT there was usually one reason: Disneyland! Both of our families really never came down here unless they were going to the magical kingdom :) Now that we only live 30 min from the park; we are happy to say that we're getting the most out of our season passes!

Brielle absolutely LOVES Disneyland. Now that she's old enough to really recognize the different characters she just gets so excited when she sees anything and everything that has to do with Mickey Mouse. She'll even just squeal "Mimi" when she sees a balloon in the shape of Mickey's head. It's so much fun to go to Disneyland for your kids instead of for yourself. We've realized that's a lot more fun to see your kids get excited about something and have just pure joy on their faces than for you to experience it for yourself.

Because I'm over 7 months pregnant, and because Brielle is so little we get to ride all of the super exciting kid rides. Brielle's favorites are: Jungle Cruise, Tikki Room (thanks dad), Dumbo, and the Carousel. Any ride that has animals - it's her favorite. She's always mimicking the sounds they make. When we were on the carousel last night she started stroking the horses' head and saying "nice" a result of us trying to teach her how to play nice with other children. During the Jungle Cruise she can't sit still because she's always scouting out the next great animal she's going to see. While growling with the lions, making monkey noises with the gorillas, blowing like an elephant, and labeling every animal she recognizes we just sit back and love every minute of it!

We've loved the fun times we've had there just this past summer, and we can't wait to continue going with family and by ourselves until our passes run out!

We have always loved Southern California, but being from UT there was one main reason: Disneyland!!! Both of our families really never came down here unless we were heading off to the magic kingdom :) Now that we only live 30 min. from Disneyland; we are happy to say that we are getting the most of our season passes!

Catch-Up

Now that we are finally settled down in Corona, CA, and that we think we'll stay in the same apartment for at least a year; I have more time to get caught up on the things that have been pushed aside. So, I'm going to do a little catch-up on my blog because I insist at being good at this!

We were able to go up to UT around the 4th of July and spend time with our families. As part of the Boulter/Oaks reunion we go camping at beautiful Joes Valley. I was worried about how Brielle would do in a tent, but she did amazingly well. She absoultely LOVED being outside all day long, and thrived on getting all dirty and rugged from the great outdoors. We had a lot of fun camping with family and letting Brielle play with some of her own little cousins around her age.

After camping we were lucky enough to be in UT when Becka and Brian blessed their new baby boy Dean. We love being with family on those special occasions. The next day was when everyone held their 4th of July celebrations. Brielle got all dressed up in the cute patriotic dress and we headed off to the festivities in Provo. Brielle and Trey were able to hang-out together and we all had a blast at the parade.

We loved being back in UT with family, but were ready to get back to Cali and really feel like we're establishing ourselves as our own family unit.

Moving AGAIN!!!

So, now that we are barely feeling settled in our beautiful new apartment, we decided that we have to get up and move to Corona, CA. We are NOT excited to move, but are SO excited for the oppotunities that are in store for us in that area of Southern CA.
Jake joined a Merrill Lynch team in the Riverside office, and it will be a great professional move for him. We also think it will be a wonderful move for our family. We will be packing up and moving at the end of this month! Crazy!!!

Cali Update

We've been here in palm Desert for about 2 months now, and we're loving it. jake has been working extremely long hours at work. He is at the office before 6 am, and doesn't leave until about 6 pm. He takes his big series 7 test on Thurs. He's excited about the challenges of this career, and is so dedicated that I know he'll be very successful.
Brielle and I have grown really close because we only have one car, and we don't know that many people in the area. It's also extremely hot here; so we don't go outside that often. She is just growing up so incredibly fast. She is running and talking all the time. It's fun to see her develop and grow each day.
Our other exciting news is that we just found out that we will be adding a little boy to our family at the end of Nov! We are SO excited to have another one, and know that it's the Lord's will. He is an extremely active little guy, and we're having fun planning for another little one.

Well, this is a brief update, and I hope to get a lot better at blogging. Actually, I'd love to fix my margins and make my font smaller, but I've had some issues because I'm so not technically inclined. But we all start somewhere :-)

So Cal!

So this last weekend Jake, Brielle and I drove down to the Palm Springs area to check out our new home! We were blown away by the beauty of area. We are going to seriously be living in a vacation/resort town.
Our apartment complex is called the Regent, and it's just perfect! I know that I'm spoiled when I get to call this place my home. It has 7 swimming pools, 6 tennis courts, a putting green, an updated gym, walk-in closet :-), granite counters, and everything about it is just beautiful!

Although it was a "bad weather" day, the area was still just so gorgeous. It has mountains (with snow), palm trees everywhere, beautiful landscaping, green grass, clear blue skies, and perfect weather almost all year round.

Not only is the area wonderful, but Jake's new boss and employer are just amazing. We were treated like royalty as we met other employees, and saw a glimpse of what our future will some day hold. We just cannot wait to start this next chapter in our lives!

New Car!

Well, we finally took the plunge. We are officially adults. We purchased a car that is actually reliable! Because we are moving away from family, it was necessary to purchase a car that could drive us back safely . . . without us worrying about it dying on the highway :-)

We bought a 2007 Nissan Altima, and we absolutely love it! Although it feels a little odd to drive such a beautiful car. I'm actually afraid of driving it because it matters if something happens to this car. But we love it!

Blogging

So, we are trying to get caught up with the world of technology (because we are so technologically handicapped), we have received the wonderful guidance from our friends the Thiots . . . well basically Stacy. Thanks!
We think this is a prime time to begin a blog because Jake just received a job offer with Merrill Lynch. He will be a Financial Advisor; basically he invests people's money, and plans for their retirement. We are so excited for this new adventure because we will be moving to the Palm Springs area of Southern California on May 12th! It's amazing to think that REAL life is going to start for us, and we feel so truly blessed to be given the perfect job for us!
With all of this recent excitement, we decided it was necessary for us to be able to keep everyone updated on our lives. Plus, we want to stay in touch with everyone as well. So, here we are blogging!
